Patriotism and Purpose: Military Lapel Pins

By Seth Miller Military lapel pins serve many purposes; patriotism, remembrance, recognition and membership. Military lapel pins are some of the most popular lapel pins today. Pins from WWII are highly collectible, and there are entire trading communities just for military pins and other memorabilia. Early lapel pins dating back to the US Civil War are the ribbon and medallion type of pin and are extremely collectible. There is a rich history to be discovered in collecting military lapel pins. The passing down of military lapel pins to younger family members is a wonderful way to stimulate an interest in world history and to share your familys history. Lapel pins are given to members of military squads to identify them as belonging to a certain unit or group. While these types of military lapel pins are difficult for non-military personnel to acquire, you may be able to find one via an auction, or garage sale or from a family member. Today the types of military lapel pins that are most popular are those which show support for the military. You can easily recognize a family member or friend of an enlisted person by the signature yellow ribbon pin worn on a lapel. It provides the wearer an emotional connection to a loved one far away. It may also be worn in memory of a loved one. Military lapel pins connote many things, so a collector should be sensitive when buying and especially when displaying military lapel pins, making sure to show respect for the person who originally earned and wore the pin. The types of military lapel pins commonly found from stock lapel pin manufacturers are great ways to show support for troops and for the work done by military personnel. Lapel pins can be found for any branch of the military, with full color or simple die-cast metal. These military lapel pins are an elegant way to show your support or affiliation every day. Lapel Pins Info provides detailed information on lapel pins including many lapel pin options such as custom, military, cloisonne, Christian, and patriotic lapel pins. Are Payday Loans A Good Option?

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=David_Nemer]David Nemer Chances are if you have ever been in need of a quick, fast, painless loan and have researched this online, you have run across what is known as a payday loan. The effectiveness of payday loans right now is somewhat debatable, due to some of the factors involved in obtaining and properly managing a loan of this type. Some of the things to consider when thinking about obtaining a payday loan are the following: Interest rates on payday loans are notoriously high sometimes reaching up to 1,000% or higher. Thats right 1,000%! Because of the high interest rates, the cost of obtaining a payday loan can be very expensive when compared to other more traditional types of loans on a cost per dollar scale. Although they can be expensive, payday loans are also extremely easy to obtain. Most payday loan services offer the following benefis: No faxing or paperwork required Money can be deposited in your bank account very quickly usually 24 hours or less The entire application process can be completed online If the loan is paid off on time, the total cost of obtaining a payday loan can often times be much less than the cost of not having one available. That last statement can be somewhat confusing, so let me clarify. If you owe a total of $500 dollars tomorrow, and you dont have the money today, you are probably in the market for a quick, fast, no hassle loan which is easy to qualify and apply for. Enter the payday loan service to the rescue. If the cost of the fees that will be assessed to you for not paying your bills on time outweighs the costs of obtaining and paying off a payday loan, then getting a payday loan is a good option in your case. In other words, if your apartment company, electric company, auto lean holder, or whoever you owe money too will assess fines totaling $150 dollars for a late payment, but it will only wind up costing you $75 to obtain a payday loan, then obviously a payday loan is a good choice in your case. Under all circumstances, make sure you pay off the payday loan on time. Generally, this is what gives the payday loan a dubious name in some circles. Failing to pay off the loan by its due date, generally 7 30 days after it is granted, will result in substantial additional charges being added to the cost of obtaining the loan. Aromatherapy Healing With Pure Essential Oils and Crystals – Lemurian Seed Crystals

By KG Stiles In my last installment about Lemurian Seed Crystals I shared some of the intriguing bits of information available about these rare healing crystals. I’ve continued to use them in my healing arts practice with outstanding results. Using the Lemurian Seed Crystals in a session is like hooking up a powerful jumper cable for generating and amplifying the body’s own natural electro-magnetic flow also known as Chi or life force energy. The Lemurian Seed Crystals greatly enhance your body and mind’s ability to respond to a treatment, as well as for integrating the balancing effect of your treatment for longer lasting results. As I mentioned previously what sets the Lemurian Seed Crystals apart from other healing crystals is there characteristically unique series of horizontal striations that run up one, or more sides of the crystal. These striations end in a triangular face forming an apex at one end of the crystal. This apex is used to help direct Chi, as well as untangle or pull out energy cysts and other types of blockages as necessary. Since beginning to use the Lemurian Seed Crystals in my practice I’ve discovered that the pair that came to be with me are especially attuned to clearing, balancing and charging the chakras and the interrelationships between the chakras. Soon after initiating my work incorporating the crystals in healing sessions I was directed to use visualization of specific colored lights with clients. Usually a client is instructed to focus a specific color in a key area, as well as a general focusing of colored light suffusing their entire body, extending to two feet around them. In my next article about Aromatherapy Healing With Pure Essential Oils and Crystals you will learn more about the legend of the Lemurian Seed Crystals and empirical findings when using them in practice. The Common Signs of Teen Depression

By Elizabeth Radisson Teen depression may develop in teenagers who have personal, family, and social problems. It is not true that only adults suffer from this problem. Teens can also have this intense mental and emotional problem plaguing them. For parents and guardians, it is important that you know the tell tale signs that your teenaged child is suffering from depression. Knowing of the illness before it becomes worse is crucial, if you want to restore the emotional and mental fitness of your son or daughter. 1. Frequent crying, intense sadness, and tearfulness Sadness can be manifested in many way other than crying and showing tears. Some teens convey sadness through the way they dress. They can also use their ability to write and compose poems and stories. Some show it through the choice of music they want to hear. Always be on the lookout for these. If your teen seems to be displaying a sense of depression through their manner, there could be a problem somewhere. 2. Hopelessness There are instances that your teenaged son or daughter feel their life is not worth living anymore. They could be overtly pessimistic and cynical about the general things around them. They could even do it to the extent they do not care how they looked like and how people percepts them. If you think your teen is doing this, be more on the lookout. He or she may be depressed. 3. Shows less interest in their otherwise favorite activity If you teenager suddenly drops out of their sports or club either from school or with friends, there could be something wrong. Any individual who do not want to have fun to an elevated degree could definitely be depressed. 4. Low energy If your teenage son or daughter seems to be bored all the time, no matter how enjoyable the activity is, he or she can be depressed. Low grades and lack of motivation to succeed can also be a sign of depression. 5. Social seclusion A previously bubbly teenage who unexpectedly wanted to be alone more often than necessary is enough reason to be alarmed. If your teenager prefers to avoid parties and gatherings with friends or families, they should be given more attention. Even more so, if the teenager does not want to talk about his feelings or what is bothering him. 6. Lowered Confidence A person who is suffering from dwindling self-confidence is a person who feels negatively about failures. A person, on the other hand, who feels guilt and negative opinions about their own self, is certainly on the verge of depression. 7. Irritability Being irritable is a common reaction of a depressed individual, teen or otherwise. Teens who usually take out on their angers on their family are showing the signs of depression. They can also be sarcastic, critical, or even abusive to the younger ones. 8. Poor school performance If your teenagers tend to be absent from school, or are causing trouble while there, they definitely problematic. Depression may be taking its toll on them, which is why their schoolwork is slowly being affected. The sadder part of this is that the root cause may be misdiagnosed. Parents and teachers may not even realize they are dealing with a depressed teen. Teen depression is real. Parents need to stay engaged with their kids, and be aware of their kids’ feelings and their physical condition. Communication is the key. Depression should not settle in to a person in their tender years. When that happens, it has to be treated right away. How to Make a Woman Love You in 5 Simple Steps

By Scott Patterson At some point in his life, EVERY guy wants to know how to make a woman fall in love with him. While it’s a lot of fun to date different women and play the field, there will be a time when you want to go beyond a casual relationship. In fact you’ll eventually want to get into a loving relationship But how can you make the woman you’re with to love you back? Well here are 5 simple tips you can use to help allow a woman to reciprocate your love. Step #1- Know that love is different then attraction The one thing you should always remember is attracting a woman is MUCH different then getting her to love you. In other words, you can out on a whole mysterious persona like you would with the basic attraction techniques. When you start to develop romantic feelings for a woman you should use it as opportunity to show the REAL you that’s hidden beneath the surface. With love, you have to show FEELINGS and reciprocate her nurturing nature. You should allow her to be attracted to the fun and alpha side of you, but love the good person you are deep inside. Step #2- Act like a MAN Real men don’t act in a deceptive and fake manner. If you want her to love you, you must be worthy of this love. This means avoiding all the games that men and women play during the courtship period. A real man is good to the woman he’s with and doesn’t do anything to hurt her. Ultimately her love must be returned through YOUR actions and words. So if you’re into dating multiple women, don’t tell her she’s the ONLY one. In fact, if don’t want to settle down, do yourself a favor and keep her at an emotional distance. It’ll only end up hurting her feelings if you’re not looking for a committed relationship. Step #3- Make your intentions evident I’m going to be honest here buddy Women like to think long term! If you’ve established yourself in a relationship, then she’s probably though about what it’ll be like with you on a permanent basis (ie: marriage). So if this is something you want in your life, then your actions should reflect this goal. In essence you have to act in a way that’ll demonstrate a genuine desire to settle down and possibly marry her. To do this, you should bring her around your friends, invite her to important functions in your life and basically include her in all aspects of your life. Step #4- Communicate with her Communication is to key to developing a loving relationship. Unfortunately as a gender we’re not known for our skill at communicating our feelings. However if you’re serious about this woman, you have to be open about things which are going on in your life. This also means taking a genuine interest in what she’s doing and getting to know her an intimate capacity. Furthermore, there will be times when the two of you will get in an argument. When these moments happen, you have to remember she is someone you love, and you shouldn’t say anything which you can’t take back. In other words don’t intentionally hurt her feelings. Step #5- Keep things fun and sexual Finally you must ensure that your relationship is still fun and exciting as it evolves. While most women are looking for a special someone who can share her feelings, you can’t let things get boring and stagnant. If you’re serious about this woman then you must WORK to keep things fun. This means treating her like a queen and keeping the romance alive. So on exciting trips, buy her presents and don’t be afraid to spice things up in the bedroom. Love is the ultimate goal of a serious relationship. If you can make her love you then you’ll be on the pathway towards build an incredible future with the woman of your dreams. Bad Credit Loans: Do They Exist

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Joseph_Kenny]Joseph Kenny Everyone worries about their credit. Your credit score is important because it can determine whether or not you will be able to obtain a loan, now or in the future. Unfortunately, there are too many individuals that realize the importance of their credit score too late. If you are one of those individuals then you may be left trying to find a loan with bad credit. If you are like most of the world, you may automatically assume that bad credit prevents you from being able to obtaining financing for a new home, new car, education, or anything else that may you need to purchase. It is true that a bad credit score can prevent you from being able to afford the things that you need, but it doesnt always have to be that way. It may seem like a difficult and overwhelming process, but you may be able to obtain a loan even if you have a poor credit rating. When searching for a loan, when your credit is less than perfect, you will likely be searching for a bad credit loan. This is a reference term often used to describe loans available by lenders who do not read too much into your credit score. When it comes to finding a bad credit loan, you will want to examine a number of finical lenders. Despite what you may believe, these lenders should also include your local bank. If you already have an account with a local financial institution, you are encouraged to approach them for a loan. Instead of just filling out a loan application, you are encouraged to speak with a bank representative. Depending on your situation, you may be able to convince them that you need financing. For instance, if you need to obtain a car loan to continue working, you may find that your local bank may be willing to work with you. Most financial institutions will go out of their way to assist a regular customer of theirs. In addition to approaching local banks for a bad credit loan, you will want to examine online lenders. You can easily familiarize yourself with a number of online lenders by performing a standard internet search. You may also want to perform an internet search using the words bad credit loan. It is likely that you will be provided with a list of lenders that offer loans to individuals, regardless of their credit score. Instead of examining your past credit report, online lenders specializing in bad credit loans may examine a number of other factors. You may also be able to obtain a bad credit loan from an establishment that specializes in offering fast cash loans or payday loans. There are many individuals, with bad credit, that assume these loans are the only way to obtain a loan. Fast cash loans are usually quick and easy to obtain, but they are often stacked with high interest rates and a number of other fees. Of course, you can obtain one of these loans if you wish to. If you do make the decision to obtain a bad credit loan through an establishment that offers payday loans or fast cash loans, you are encouraged to familiarize yourself with all of the fees that you may be subject to. Doing so will prevent you from being shocked when it comes time to repay. It will be harder for you to obtain a loan if you have bad credit, but that does not mean that you should give up or accept the first offer that comes your way. Obtaining a loan on an impulse can make your credit worse than it already is. Joseph Kenny writes for the Loans Store, offering advice on UK loans. Soapmaking Idea: Sugar + Cornstarch = ?

By Lisa Chambers To me, soapmaking is a never ending learning process. There’s just so many different ingredients and techniques to try- the possibilities are endless. I have always kept my mind and eyes open for new ideas. Well, I also love to cook and where better a place to come up with new ideas than your very own kitchen? I’m not sure if anyone else has tried this or thought of it yet, but for me a new trick popped up and I wanted to share my experience with other soapmakers. Having a sensitivity to coconut oil in soaps and also having temperamental skin in general, has kept me stingy with lathering oils in my soapmaking recipes. However, people are so used to the abundance of lather usually associated with bought soaps (since they cheat with sodium laurel sulfate), that a more “lotion-like” lather is harder for some to except. Besides, let’s face it- who doesn’t like big fluffy bubbles? Because of this I have always tried to increase lather in my soaps through other natural additives. The addition of various types of powdered milks not only adds the nourishing we all know is famous for gorgeous skin, but has seemed to help somewhat in adding more of a lather and contributed a certain creaminess to it. Silk fibers added to my lye water gave even more positive results for me. I always knew silk provided wonderful “moisture locking properties” and a truly luxurious feel- but since I felt how it significantly increased my soaps ability to lather, it quickly became one of my favorite indulgences. Then there’s the other trick of the trade… Sugar. Whether dissolved in lye-water or it’s presence enters in from the addition of honey in my soap batches, sugar has displayed outstanding results. As a matter of fact, when I first began soaping, castor oil was almost mandatory in all my soap recipes due to the rare ricinoleic acid in it that contributes to lather without being nearly as drying as typically used “lathering oils”. I have found the combination of silk and sugar works so well together that even though I still respect and welcome castor oil for it’s wonderful content of essential fatty acids, it is no longer absolutely necessary for me to soap with. Well, good thing I’m a “label reader”! One day while baking my husband a special treat, I happened to glance at the ingredients list on a bag of confectionery sugar. “Ingredients: sugar and cornstarch”. As with many addicted soapers, I have a personal problem with often swiping items from our food cabinets to sneak into soap- if it’s in the kitchen, it’s game! I have tried cornstarch in my soap before and it was in fact really nice. (Cornstarch is soothing to the skin and sometimes used as a replacement for the feel that silk gives in vegan soaps.) I decided to give it a shot. When my soap got to a very thin trace I added about one tablespoon confectionery sugar per pound of base oils, attempting to add it carefully and space it out around the bowl for easier mixing. I then put my stick blender to it and mixed it very well, making sure that it was evenly incorporated into the mix and no clumps were left behind. I noticed it did thicken up a tad, but not so much that it was that hard to manage getting my soap into it’s mold when it was ready. Once curing time was up and I tried it, I jumped up and down like a kid at Christmas. It seemed to have the effects a soap would have from the batches I would take the extra steps to dissolve my sugar in water before introducing the lye, and the added feel that cornstarch can bring! The only difference is that was a lot easier and faster than having to heat up your water and stir like a mad person to dissolve your sugar, and then wait for it to cool down a little before adding my lye. It seemed to be a truly effective time saver. I love sharing ideas with other soapmakers and I really hope some of you out there will find this trick helpful. Happy and safe soaping! Scrapbook Ideas for Your Baby Album – Part 1

By Lisa Fleming A scrapbook album of your baby’s first year is one of the most special albums you’ll ever complete. There are so many magical memories, beginning with the pregnancy itself and continuing right through your baby’s first birthday. Below are a number of scrapbook page ideas to help you capture those precious moments. Title Page A great way to start the album is by matting a 5″x7″ or 8″x10″ of your baby’s hospital photo on the first page. Then add the baby’s name and birthdate as the title and subtitle respectively. This makes a very simple yet very beautiful page. Baby on the Way How did you celebrate the news that your baby was on the way? Maybe it was a quiet dinner just for you and your husband or a gathering with family and friends. Either way, remember to include some pictures of the celebration. Capture peoples’ reactions to the annoucement in photos. In addition, you may even want to take a picture of the pregnancy test showing the positive results. The Ultrasound If you had multiple ultrasounds during your pregnancy, include pictures from different points in time so you can see how your baby was growing. You may also want to include one that shows the graph of the heartbeat. In addition to journaling about the ultrasound pictures, this is a great place to journal about any nicknames you may have had for your baby before it was born. The Belly Starting at three months, when the pregnancy “bulge” is just barely noticeable, have someone take a monthly side-view picture of you. Pose in front of the same background each time so that the pictures are consistent. Try to fit all of the photos on one page (or a two-page spread), so you can really appreciate the month-by-month progression. The Nursery Include photos of the nursery all ready and waiting for baby; take pictures from different angles to show everything in the room. Be sure to include pictures of anything that has special meaning such as a bassinet that has been in the family for multiple generations, a special blanket made by Grandma, etc. Also, if you have one, include a photo to show what the room was before it became a nursery. Welcome Baby Those first pictures taken of your baby after the birth are some of the most precious ones you’ll ever have. Rememer to include your baby being weighed, having his/her footprints done, being examined, getting a bath, etc. You can put memorabilia such as the footprint card, bassinet name tag and baby id bracelet on these pages. Include key information/statistics in your journaling – baby’s full name, date, day, time, weight, length, details about your labor, name of the doctor/midwife, etc. Mom, Dad and Baby It’s wonderful to have a page with pictures of just the three of you – Mom, Dad and Baby – and then include siblings, grandparents, etc. on other pages. Journal about how you felt upon meeting your baby for the first time, whether your baby resembled anyone in the family, how your baby reacted to hearing your voice, etc. The Rest of the Clan Once you have a page or two of Mom, Dad and Baby photos, it’s time to include the siblings if your baby has any. Capture how excited they are to meet their new baby brother/sister and how proud they are to be big brothers/big sisters. This is also a great page to put any little cards, drawings, etc. that siblings may have made to welcome your new baby. Visitors at the Hospital Your new baby is sure to have many visitors at the hospital such as grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and more. Include a picture of each one holding the baby and write an interesting fact and/or anecdote about each person in your journaling. Also, you may want to include pictures of the doctor/midwife who delivered your baby, the labor nurse and/or the doula. Going Home Going home from the hospital is a big event! On this page you can include pictures of leaving the hospital, a photo of the outside of the hospital, and the birth announcement. Journal about who took you and the baby home, what the weather was like for your baby’s first time ever outside, what he/she was wearing for a “going home” outfit, and what he/she did during the car ride home. The New Family It’s nice to have a couple of pages showing the new family settling in at home over those first few days. Be sure to include a picture of everyone (Mom, Dad, siblings) with the new baby, plus a picture of the whole family. Put some of the flowers and balloons received as gifts in the background of the pictures to add a special touch. This is a great place to journal about how the family dynamic changes when the new little one joins the clan. Visitors at Home In addition to having photos of the visitors that came to meet your baby at the hospital, you’ll also want to have pictures of the visitors at your home. Again, include a picture of each one holding the baby and write an interesting fact and/or anecdote about each person in your journaling. Siblings If your baby has siblings, you can make a separate page for each sibling with lots of photos of the big brother/big sister with the new baby. Depending on how old the sibling is, he/she may be able to help you create the album page by arranging photos, picking out embellishments and providing input for the journaling (e.g., what is the best thing about being a big brother/big sister). Heritage If your baby is lucky enough to meet his/her great-grandparents, have a page or two with pictures of them holding the baby. Ask the great-grandparents to share some of their most cherished childhood memories so you can include them in your journaling. When your baby is older, he/she can read their stories to get a glimpse of childhoods long ago. A HUG A Day-Keeps Blues Away

By Sean Carter It’s wondrous what a hug can do. A hug can cheer you when you’re blue A hug can say, “I love you so,” Or, “I hate to see you go.” A hug is “Welcome back again.” And “Great to see you! Where have you been?” A hug can soothe a small child’s pain And bring a rainbow after rain. The hug, there’s just no doubt about it — We scarcely could survive without it! A hug delights and warms and charms; It must be why God gave us arms Hugs are great for fathers and mothers, Sweet for sisters, swell for brothers; And chances are your favorite aunts love them more than potted plants. Kittens crave them, puppies love them, Heads of states are not above them. A hug can break the language barrier And make your travel so much merrier. No need to fret about your store of them; The more you give, the more there are of ‘em. So stretch those arms without delay And give someone a hug today! Most of us have some type of difficulties in expressing ourselves or we just don’t share our feelings enough with the people next to us. One way to enrich communication, and at the side the best and sometimes even the worst parts of our lives, is hugging. Hugging has many ways of communication. Through hugs we can spread our unspoken language to the language of wider expression. The precious moments of living get also a new significance when we add hugs into them. These expressions of trust have also been misused. History says that one of the greatest mis-usage was when, Judas betrayed Jesus with a kiss. The talent of shaking hands is not always the most suitable way to build contacts. To get the whole body into the action, its better to share with a hug. Through Hugs one learns to build deeper relationships. The better one knows the “secrets” of hugging, the more he or she can get out of it! Psychologists say, despite the hustle and bustle of juggling busy lives, buying Christmas presents and entertaining the family, one should always find some time for that all important hug! A poll revealed that two out of three UK adults have a hug at least once a day. The Scots are the most frequent huggers with 26% of them hugging more than five times a day. With Londoners not far behind with 24% enjoying at least five cuddles daily. The Welsh are not so touchy freely however, with 10% of the respondents in Wales sadly never exchange hugs. The ways of hugging vary a lot. One of the traditional way of hugging is to tie ones arm around one’s partner’s shoulders, while his or her partner ties his or her arm around his or her waist. To get more involved one may tie both arms around his or her partner’s waist, and he or she may tie his or her arms around his or her partner’s shoulders. Holdings may vary a lot. However, the most important fact in holding is to perceive the situation that one is in and choose an appropriate holding style on the situational bases. It is good to seek solidness and interaction out of the hug. Often traditional holdings are better than the brand-new ones. That’s because one is more familiar with them. In order to apply new holdings, one needs practice. A few new holdings are “hamburger-hug”, “group-hug”, “offensive hug” and “hug from the back” for instance. The Bear Hug is ideal for two individuals of disproportionate sizes and for saying, “You’re terrific,” or “You can count on me”. The Bear Hug is one of the hugs that is considered to be the strongest. By squeezing one’s hugging partner gently, one can instantly give them reassurance and affection. But people tend to use Bear Hugs when they are excited or when they want to display strong affection. However remember, the best Bear Hugs require moderate squeezing not suffocating! The A-Frame–Brief Hug is ideal for little-known relatives and situations requiring a bit of formality. All of the hugging takes place above the neck. This hug communicates polite caring or detached warmth. Great especially amongst newly-made friends and relations. The Cheek Hug is a tender hug that says “I’m sorry you’re disappointed,” or is ideal to share joy or greet an elderly relative. Cheek Hug is used when there’s a need to comfort someone or show affection. But this type of hug also allows us to keep our distance at the same time. The Cheek Hug may be used by anyone – elderly people who may not be able to hug tightly, people who are colleagues, acquaintances and even friends and family. The Back to Front Hug is the perfect way to give support and affection to someone, even if they are busy carrying out a task like the washing up! Receiving a Back to Front Hug shows the receiver that there’s someone who is always there for him or her, and is a way of expressing love and affection for that person irrespective of what is received in return The Side to Side Hug is a common sight we all see almost everyday. Most of us have all strolled down the road locked in a Side to Side Hug with someone. This casual hug allows us to demonstrate our affection for one another without being too intimate. It is also a way of conveniently hugging whilst carrying out other tasks such as walking, sitting down next to each other and standing in a queue for example. The Heart Centered Hug is one that all enjoy. A slow, intimate and well-needed Heart Hug can lift anyone’s spirits and is the perfect way to show close family, friends and partners how much one cares! Hugging is a wonderful tonic. In fact, the medical evidence is that, a hug even makes one’s body produce more oxytoxin, which is the ‘feel good’ hormone. Research in America found that one 20-second hug a day makes a big difference between how happy and relaxed we are. Which is why people in a healthy relationship are happier and feel less stressed. In the principle one should better hug lively and energetically. So, have this peculiarly deep and valuable idea (not only phenomenon) of hugging, indeed and one can create long-lasting warm relationships. Hugging is an amazing medicine. It transfers energy, and gives the person hugged an emotional boost. Someone somewhere said, one needs four hugs a day for survival, eight for maintenance, and twelve for growth. A hug makes one feel good. The skin is the largest organ we have and it needs a great deal of care. A hug can cover a lot of skin and gives the message that one cares. It is also a form of communication. It can say things one doesn’t have words for. The nicest thing about a hug is that, one usually can’t give one without getting one. One can’t wrap love in a box, but one can surely wrap a person in a hug. This 21st, say I care.. with a hug to the ones near. And to ones miles away, say it with an e-card. Celebrate SEND A HUG DAY. Can Your Teen Be Trusted With A Cell Phone?

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Larry_S._Floyd]Larry S. Floyd Adolescence can be a time for tremendous growth for a young man or a young woman, particularly when it comes to taking on responsibility. And one responsibility that can involve a steep learning curve is cell phone use. Parenting experts now say that children as young as 13 should be disciplined enough to keep track of their cell phone use. While some individuals view cell phones as a luxury for teenagers, others see them as necessities in this high-tech age. Cell phones allow parents to keep tabs on their teens at a time when their sons and daughters may be experimenting with their new-found independence. It is vitally important, then, that teens know how to handle a cell phone responsibly. Cell phones can be helpful in teaching teens the virtue of time management. If they have a plan with a limited number of free minutes during the day, they’ll need to learn how to use their “talk time” wisely. In addition, if they share a plan with you, they’ll also need to learn how to show respect to others. Needless to say, a teen with a cell phone will also need to learn effective money management techniques. While cell phones can be a cost-efficient way to place calls, they can also be quite expensive, depending on when and how they’re used. Generally speaking, parenting experts recommend that mothers and fathers pay for basic service for their teens, but require their sons and daughters to pay for any add-ons, such as special ring tones and text messaging features. Moreover, if the teen actually ends up breaking or losing the phone, he or she should have to pay for a replacement. In this way, parents can teach their teens to be as responsible as possible with their cell phone use. Teens can gain a feeling of independence, while they can also learn that consequences await them if they fail to act responsibly. But before a teenager even has a cell phone in hand, it’s important that parents inform him or her of all their expectations regarding cell phone use. Parents should also be willing to set limits-otherwise, they may find that their teen is constantly talking on the cell. Unless such limits are in place, parents could find themselves facing some unexpected bills. If necessary, write down the “house rules” regarding cell phone use. That way, you’ll be minimizing any confusion, and your children will not be able to claim that they didn’t know what was expected of them. The rules should then be posted on a place where they are clearly visible at all times, such as the refrigerator door. Teens should also be aware of the fact that, if they fail to answer calls from their parents, they could find their cell phone privileges taken away. At first, such rules may seem unnecessarily harsh, but they can be quite helpful in helping to maintain family harmony over the long term. So, feel free to purchase a cell phone for your teen-and watch that teen mature into a responsible cell phone customer.
